United Way MSJC’s A.L.I.C.E. (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) initiative focuses on supporting individuals and families who are working but still face challenges meeting their basic needs. Through strategic investments and community partnerships, United Way helps fund programs that create opportunities, provide support, and strengthen our community.

In 2026, United Way MSJC awarded grants to organizations making a meaningful impact. Family Services of Southeast Texas was selected as the recipient of the Innovation Grant, receiving $40,000 to support their innovative approach to addressing community needs.

Samaritan Counseling Center was awarded the Impact Grant, receiving $30,000 to continue their work in providing valuable resources and services that help individuals and families thrive.

These grants represent United Way MSJC’s continued commitment to investing in solutions that make a lasting difference across Mid & South Jefferson County.

United Way MSJC’s annual Pearls & Purses Bingo fundraiser was a wonderful evening filled with excitement, laughter, and community support. Guests enjoyed a night of bingo, prizes, and the chance to win beautiful designer handbags while coming together to support a meaningful cause.

Funds raised from this event help support United Way MSJC programs and initiatives, including efforts that promote early childhood literacy and educational opportunities for children across our community. Through the generosity of our supporters, we are able to help provide resources that encourage a love of reading and help children build a strong foundation for future success.
